Model DFA -Detonation & Flame Arrestors
The DFA is installed into the gas line ahead of sensitive or hazardous equipment to protect it from being exposed to an internal ignition source. The series of stainless steel grid assemblies combined with our practically indestructible Alumina Ceramic flame cell media, we can offer the ultimate protection available.
What It Does
Disperse and cool the flame front simultaneously to a temperature below the ignition point of the gas or vapor contained in the system.
The PRISM Detonation Flame Arrestor (DFA) is a passive device that prevents the propagation of flame fronts back through transmission lines and piping configurations. The devices will extinguish flame fronts traveling in either direction to or from vapor destruction units and/or storage facilities.
Cleaning And Reconditioning
Our Detonation Flame Arrestor has been extensively engineered and tested.
- The Grid Assembly: A series of accurately and evenly spaced flat bars and crimped ribbon that are
alternately stacked, put under load, and welded out.
- Grid Assembly: Also greatly improves the continuous burn rating, acting as a protective guard for debris that may travel in the piping system.
- The Cell Assembly: Two grid assemblies welded into a pipe with a space between the two that acts as a media chamber for flame quenching elements.
- Reuse-ability: The COMPLETE assembly is designed to be reconditioned and returned to service
