- Suction operations, i.e. the air flows through from above to below the heating register, through the product flow and through the belt and is suck off by the exhaust ventilator.

The thoughput is reduced and the energy requirement is increasing if the intake air temperature is below 15°C. A higher heating performance of 38% would be necessary in order to arrive at – 10°C at the same drying air temperature of 80°C and thus keeping the throughput. When starting with a humidity content of 50% instead of 45% the throughput of wet material is reduced by approx. 12%.
