Model Lepido - Heavy Duty Heat Exchanger
FromENJAY Systems AB
The Swedish innovation Lepido by Enjay, is a heavy duty heat exchanger developed specifically for polluted airstreams. Using Lepido makes energy recovery from hostile environments not only possible, but also profitable.

In challenging ventilation environments like restaurant kitchens – just look at the pictures below - you need a heavy-duty solution to handle all that soot and grease. So, we’ve invented Lepido, the world’s first heavy-duty heat exchanger that can handle the dirt - a solution that can finally make energy recovery in challenging environments both possible and profitable.
A number of Lepidos are already up and running in restaurants, hotels and schools throughout Europe, and they deliver perfectly, saving an average of 85.000 kWh per year, which means saving money, energy and CO2 emissions every day!
Lepido, designed to operate robustly in polluted air streams, can be deployed in a wide range of different process ventilation systems. The pollutants may vary, and – to name a few examples – range from grease and soot in restaurant ventilation, to wax and lint in industrial laundries, to residual lackard and sawdust in woodworking industries and back to grease and water vapour in food processing and snacks production. The Particle Repellent Geometry is created to utilize natural forces to Lepido’s advantage, and natural forces are universal, affecting all pollutant particles the same way. It is these technological advances and physical properties that give Lepido the advantage in polluted air streams, allowing for the majority of particles to simply pass straight through the heat exchanger, without getting stuck.
