Off Grid Power Technology
Remote areas such as islands and off-grid mining sites with substantial renewable energy production will inevitably face occasional peaks of renewable power that cannot be directly consumed or traded. This excess energy must therefore either be stored or curtailed. EnergyNest offers a highly valuable storage solution when a local demand for thermal energy exists (whether for district heating, desalination or industrial process heat). In such cases, excess renewable energy may be stored as heat, and can be discharged to produce both heat and power, thereby maximizing the use of stored energy.
EnergyNest offers the most cost-effective storage ...
EnergyNest offers the most cost-effective storage solution for remote sites including island grids (such as Hawaii, Malta, Faroe Islands, Carribean etc.) and off-grid mining operations (Sub-Saharan Africa, Andes, central Australia, northern Canada and Russia).
Our thermal energy storage (TES) system can be connected to the local grid or power generation facility, and charged using excess available electric energy from renewables. The stored thermal energy may then be discharged to provide electricity to local communities, as well as process heat for manufacturing industries, desalination processes, absorption cooling, district heating and more.
