The OVX series of overhead line VCB (vacuum circuit breakers) is clearly the most modern and safe product of its kind on today`s market. It can be configured with or without current transformers and voltage sensors. Non-enclosed switch for extra safety, Integrated disconnector for personal safety, Operation On and Off with full load without electric power, Solid insulated. No harmful SF6 gas, Epoxy bushings with silicone surface, Frame of "Marine grade" premium stainless steel
The OVX has a stored energy mechanism. The operational switching energy is stored in 4 steels spring. This gives a superior reliability, the same as in a substation primary switch gear. It can be operated manually via push buttons and a with a hook stick direct on the switch body.
Optional Serial and IP communication and radio-GSM/4G to the main centre are also available.
Hughes provides mounting brackets for the OVX module, VT and surge arrestors in our standard mounting kit. Voltage transformer can be mounted on the same pole and provides power and the voltage control for the OVX.
