PCCSheet and Plate

SHARE
PCC Energy Group produces a range of high-nickel, high-performance heat and corrosion resistant alloys available as flat products – plate, sheet and strip. In our facility dedicated to nickel alloys, we produce the industry’s largest available plate sizes with unparalleled capacity.

The PCC Energy Group offers hot-rolled plate and sheet, cold-rolled sheet and strip in a variety of size ranges. These are produced from high-quality nickel alloys invented and developed by Special Metals Corporation such as INCONEL, INCOLOY, NIMONIC, UDIMET, MONEL AND NILO alloys as well as others.

Hot-rolled plate comes in thicknesses from 4.76 – 102 mm and widths from 1220 – 2450 mm. Cold-rolled sheet comes in thicknesses from 0.38 – 4.76 mm and widths up to 1219 mm. Various strip sizes are available within the cold-rolled sheet limits.

The PCC Energy Group also manufactures electroformed nickel-foil products using a proprietary, continuous electrode position process in thicknesses ranging from 6 – 150 microns. High-purity nickel foil is used to produce batter mesh, heating elements and similar products.

Nickel alloy flat products find many applications in the process industry. Our corrosion-resistant alloy plate products, such as Nickel 200 and 201 and INCONEL 625 and 686, are widely used for fabrication of pressure, reaction, and storage vessels and system components. In the air pollution control industry, flue gas desulfurization absorber vessels, ducts and chimney flues are fabricated from our INCONEL alloy C-276 and INCOLOY alloy 27-7MO CRA plate. Shell and tube heat exchangers and the internals plates of plate and fin heat exchangers are formed from our MONEL 400 and INCONEL 686 sheet and plate. PCC Energy Group also serves the marine industry with INCONEL alloy 625 and MONEL alloy 400 plate used in the construction of naval vessels and offshore oil platforms.

Heat-resistance grades of PCC alloy plate, such as INCOLOY alloys 800HT and 803 and INCONEL alloy 601, are widely used in the thermal processing industry for fabrication of furnaces, calciners, and conveyors. PCC’s heat-resistance alloy plates are also used in the refining and petrochemical industries for construction of reaction towers, condensers, and reformers as well as in the incinerators used to burn municipal solid waste.

PCC’s flat products are also converted into welded tubular products. Alloy plate is formed into a cylindrical shape on a press brake and welded to produce heavy wall tube and plate. Coils of alloy strip are continuously formed and welded to produce thin wall tubular products such as are used in heat exchangers and condensers. Heater elements are manufactured using welded tubing that is formed from PCC’s heat-resistant INCOLOY alloy 800 and 840 strip.
