PEDLOCK - Model BD Series -Copper Pedestals

The BD Series was designed to provide a variety of feature-rich, non-metallic pedestals with the lowest total cost of ownership. Charles’ engineering team listened to our independent telephone company customers and responded by creating an entire line of pedestals designed for ease of installation and maintenance in addition to providing the highest standard of environmental protection.

BD Series pedestals are available in 5 sizes: BD2 (4” dia.), BD3 (6” dia.), BD4 (8” dia.), BD5 (10” dia.) and BD7 (14” dia.). Charles` BD pedestals feature a common dome height across all sizes, allowing technicians to standardize the length of exposed cable loops and cable ends during cable placement.

• Rigid, non-conductive internal splice bracket easily secures to rail mounting hardware in pedestal base

• 5-post metal grounding bar with ground lug designed to meet all RUS grounding requirements
• Drop wire channel facilitates wire management
• Lift-off dome allows 360º access to internal areas

BD5, BD7

• Designed to house and protect large pair count terminations and splices
• Non-metallic, lightweight PVC construction resists corrosion, impact, fire, floods, chemicals and insects

• Rigid, non-conductive internal splice bracket easily secures to rail mounting hardware in pedestal base; third bracket leg offers increased stability and supports heavier loads

• Offset ladder bars provide extra splicing capacity and are repositionable for added convenience
• 5-post metal grounding bar designed to meet all RUS grounding requirements

• Lift-off dome allows 360º access to internal areas

Integral Stake Base
Allows technicians to easily place pedestals in all types of soil conditions with no additional hardware requirements. Constructed of heavy-duty PVC to eliminate corrosion in acidic soil conditions.

Universal Backboard
Designed for mounting load coils, distribution terminal blocks and other internal hardware. Non-metallic PVC construction with metal grounding plate.  Available for BD3, BD4 and BD5 pedestals only.
