Electronic Concepts - Model 5PT Series -Polypropylene and Foil Capacitors for Resonant Power Circuits
The 5PT series capacitors by Electronic Concepts are designed to meet the elevated current carrying needs of resonant power circuits. These capacitors excel in performance due to their ability to handle higher current at lower capacitance values, which provides circuit designers with greater reliability and performance in their systems. The innovative construction features heavy metal electrodes arranged in a densely packed configuration, uniquely developed by Electronic Concepts. This design allows the capacitors to extract significantly higher current per microfarad (MFD) at rated voltage compared to other brands. The capacitors can withstand a DC potential of 1.5 times the rated voltage for one minute without sustaining damage or breakdown, with test voltage applied and discharged through a minimum resistance of 100 ohms per volt. The dissipation factor of these capacitors is less than 0.5% when measured at the specified frequency for capacitance measurement.
