External Investment

Following a period of significant growth since inception a UK private equity group, Panoramic Growth Equity, acquired a significant minority shareholding in SOLFEX energy systems. This allowed the business to further increase its investment into the business culminating in the addition of a new senior management team, an external sales team and a comprehensive update of our internal operating systems.

Continued Growth

In January 2013, SOLFEX Energy systems was acquired by the Travis Perkins group http://www.travisperkinsplc.co.uk/Our-Businesses, one of the UK’s leading companies in the builders’ merchant and home improvement markets. They operate 16 businesses from more than 1,800 sites across the UK and Ireland. SOLFEX energy systems will form an essential part of an integrated approach by Travis Perkins to energy efficient building.

From a SOLFEX energy systems point of view, we’ve continually stayed ahead in terms of new innovation and developing strong relationships with our suppliers to provide the renewable energy products installers require. The launch of the Green Deal, full implementation of the Renewable Heat Incentive and stability around the existing Feed in Tariff, when considered alongside rising energy prices, demonstrates that renewable energy products will become an increasingly important feature of new and existing buildings.

We remain fully committed to growing the company and, as part of the Travis Perkins Group, SOLFEX energy systems will work to make an expanded product range and expert service available to both existing and new customers.
