FlameClad can be applied on

• Waterwall panels during construction of the boiler or directly on site on new or already operating plants
• Tubes for convective heat exchangers, such as superheaters, during the construction of the components
• Accessories such as thermocouple shields

Flame Spray has developed a specific process, FlameClad series, to apply metallic coatings through Pulsed Arc MIG Welding technology. Peculiarity of FlameClad is the possibility to clad carbon or low-alloy steel material with Ni-base alloys without contamination with the base metal. The applied layer has perfect metallurgical bonding, no porosity, Fe content typically lower than 7%.
