This is why we are equipped to deal with virtually every customer’s wish:
- Our power transformers are manufactured with a rated capacity of between 5 and 100 MVA and for service voltages of up to 245 kV.
- To adapt the voltage, it is possible to provide on-load tap changers for max. 22 % tapping range for adjustment in up to 27 steps under load, or off-load tap changers for example for 5 % tapping range for adjustment off circuit.
- Often used connection groups include YNd5, YNd11 or Ynyn0, YNyn6 with and without delta stabilising windings.

We apply this knowledge in order to achieve a high level of operating safety and long service life for our transformers. Furthermore constant checks additionally guarantee a high quality standard:
- For example, we select the corrosion protection in accordance with the relevant instal and environmental conditions to ensure freedom from maintenance for many years.
- This means we work in accordance with the corresponding standards and regulations, such as for example VDE 0532, IEC 60076, SEV 3156, ÖVE M 20 as well as the overload and emergency operating regulations BDE 0536 or IEC 60354, incorporating them into our designs.
- We optimise no-load, short-circuit losses and noise in accordance with the respective requirements.
- Main dimensions and equipment comply with all relevant standards and we naturally observe any additional stipulations made by the customer.
- We design vacuum-proof and pressure-resistant tanks, expansion vessels, radiators, bushings etc. At the same time we consider the transport mode, installation conditions and special regulations. Here too, of course we also take into account the particular wishes of the client.
Cores, windings, on-load tap changers, terminal leads and clamping structures are subject to enormous stress during the service life of a transformer. This is why it is essential that all the elements interact smoothly and without error. With the help of special computing programs we can compare all of the available materials and match the components to each other.
High-quality materials, the most up-to-date design elements, proven manufacturing processes and top-quality workmanship unite to form perfect technology:
- It is this combination that, for example, produces the boltless core consisting of high-quality, cold-rolled core-orientated transformer sheet steel, staggered in “step-lap” technique.
- The windings are manufactured using the most modern horizontal and vertical machines with predefined tensile force and predefined clamping pressure.
- After pre-drying, several compression processes guarantee the strength of the winding.
- The drying process according to the VD method removes all of the moisture from the core and coil assembly.
