Eurocardan - Model FT-A/FTF -Torque Limiter with 2 Or 4 Friction Plates

The FT-A and FT-F torque limiters are friction plate clutches which intervene without interrupting power transmission. They work in both directions of rotation and the Belleville conical springs limit the value of the torque transmitted to the calibration value through slipping of the friction discs (in quantities of 2 or 4, in special material). The Belleville conical springs guarantee the maintaining of clutch calibration over time as they are not affected by disc wear. For the FT-A, the calibration torque value can be adjusted by changing the compression height of the conical spring. The value of the calibration torque of the FT-F is instead pre-set in the factory, precluding the possibility of tampering with the clutch calibration during use and thus safeguarding protection of the transmission of the machine on which it is applied.
