Resato - Model UHCS - Ultra-High-Capacity Hydrogen Refueling Station
Resato Hydrogen Technology, in collaboration with Van Halteren Technologies, is developing an innovative Ultra-High-Capacity Hydrogen Refueling Station aimed at facilitating efficient refueling for both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles. The project draws from previous experience with Tube Trailer Filling Stations and focuses on a modular H2 Direct system. This design is future-oriented, enabling scalable expansion to meet growing hydrogen demands, with a capacity ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 kg per day. The station employs a hydraulically driven compressor to compress hydrogen to pressures of 350 or 700 bar, catering to various mobility needs. It features a flexible design supporting multiple dispensers, ensuring adaptability and a high-performance operation with minimal moving parts. This reduces operational expenses and downtime, offering further benefits through an optional energy management system that enhances energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness, promoting its use for substantial industrial and transport applications.
Resato Hydrogen Technology, in collaboration with Van Halteren Technologies, is currently developing an Ultra-High-Capacity Hydrogen Refueling Station. This partnership between two technology companies from the Netherlands aims to provide a solution for back-to-back refueling of both Heavy-Duty Vehicles (HDVs) and Light-Duty Vehicles (LDVs).
Building on our experience with the Tube Trailer Filling Station, we have taken first steps toward developing the heart of the system: the compressor. The H2 Direct system is designed to be modular, making it flexible and future-proof, allowing for expansion as the demand for hydrogen capacity grows. The capacity can range from 2,000 to 10,000 kg per day, depending on the requirements. The system uses a hydraulically driven compressor to compress hydrogen to 350 and/or 700 bar.
This approach offers promising opportunities for the heavy mobility market. Compressed hydrogen can be dispensed via multiple dispensers and stored in tube trailers for transportation to other stations or industrial applications. With its variety of pressure levels, the system is ideal for delivering large volumes of hydrogen.
