Several processes are utilised for heat exchanger core cleaning, but the utmost priority will ensure the component integrity is not degraded. A range of cleaning processes are available within the laboratory including, steam wands, solvent flushing, aqueous flushing, slugging, CIP/SIP, flow benches, scrubbing and ultrasonic cleaning, with a selection of cleaners and solvents to suit customer needs.
All post flushing fluids for the final cleaning and filtration are sourced from an inhouse water purification system, with filter retention levels to specific customer requirements, via a four stage filtration system. Prior to final drying, a particle analysis is conducted to satisfy the customer target requirements, before a two stage drying process is applied to the internal and external surfaces via a forced flow system at controlled gas dew point.
