ERG’s experience of cleaning syngas from wood, RDF and waste plastics gasification relates to
- quenching and cooling the syngas to reduce the temperature and remove water vapour
- removing tars from the syngas using V-tex® technology
- scrubbing ammonia or acid gases (principally H2S and HCI)
The wet abatement package is also required to remove the gaseous contaminants which result in non-compliant emissions of HCI, SO2 and NOx post combustion. We can also assist with the specification and supply of upstream high temperature solids removal and oily effluent treatment. Syngas cleaning packages are complex and their correct design is integral to the Plant cost model, layout, control, safety systems and operating availability.
