The automotive industry is Germany`s most important economic sector. This is especially true for Bavaria, where about 500,000 people are employed in the automotive industry. With its innovative power, this branch of the economy also provides an important impetus for other industries. Under the slogan "Achieving more. Together”, the Bavarian Automotive Cluster supports all stakeholders in the automotive industry in implementing new trends in cooperation projects.

The "Bavarian Energy Efficiency Network Initiative" BEEN-i, coordinated by Bayern Innovativ, aims to support the development of energy efficiency networks in the Free State of Bavaria. With a realistic approach, the initiative supports medium-sized businesses and craft trade companies in implementing measures to save energy in cooperation with other companies.

Millions of people do not have access to clean water, electricity or medical care. At the same time, industrialised countries are challenged to save resources, energy and thus costs, to operate sustainably and to meet new customer needs, for example those of an ageing population. What both scenarios have in common: so-called "frugal innovations" are a possible solution.
