OUR HISTORY

Denmark began using CHP in the 1950s, so it has acquired a lot of experience and competence in this field. In 1996 a group of Danish engineers decided to make use of this experience and teamed up to found EC POWER. One of the goals of EC POWER is to make optimal use of primary energy in order to cover growing electricity requirements cost-effectively while lowering the environmental impact. In order to meet the growing needs of the market, EC POWER subsequently founded a subsidiary in Germany.

Today EC POWER is one of Europe`s leading manufacturers of advanced CHP technology in the 3–80 kW_el class. EC POWER’s CHP units are now sold in more than ten European countries.

AWARD-WINNING TECHNOLOGY

EC POWER holds many patents and certificates, attesting to its innovative spirit and the high quality of its products. Our products have received a quality seal of approval from the German Gas and Water Board (Deutsche Vereinigung des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V. or DVGW).

What is more, XRGI 15® has twice been named CHP of the month by the German Federal Cogeneration Association (Bundesverband Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung e.V.) and the trade journal Energie und Management (“Energy and Management”). In 2008 it was even voted CHP of the year on the German market. Our XRGI 20® has been awarded the Blauer Engel, a German environmental certificate.
