ESBI Consultants provide financial, commercial and technological expertise to investors, developers and utilities as well as to our parent, ESB.As a consultancy that has grown from a vertically integrated utility, we have the experience to provide services across the full electricity value chain from power generation through to electricity trading and supply.

Independent Generation`s role is to deliver profitable performance from ESB International`s generation assets by means of long-term asset management, commercial management and energy trading.ESBI owns 808MW of gas-fired power plants and over 130MW of renewable wind generation which are traded in the Irish Single Electricity Market (SEM). Independent Generation also trades the 400MW Coolkeeragh CCGT power plant and its portfolio of wind farms in the SEM.  

ESBI Investments is responsible for the identification and development of power generation investment opportunities in the All Island (Ireland and UK) energy market.We are responsible for the expansion of ESB`s energy portfolio by identifying, developing and acquiring substantial power generation assets and, where appropriate, through joint venture partnerships.
