Hyzon - Model HyHD8-200 - Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Truck

The Hyzon HyHD8-200 is a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Truck designed for heavy-duty applications with an emphasis on zero emissions. Equipped with a 200kW fuel cell powertrain, this vehicle offers a continuous electric motor torque of 1,180 lb-ft and peaking at 1,770 lb-ft. It integrates a high voltage battery with an energy capacity of 110 kWh and operates at 700 volts. The electric motor delivers 275 kW (374 hp) continuously and peaks at 450 kW (612 hp). The vehicle's driving range typically extends up to 350 miles, supported by 50 kg of hydrogen stored in cylinders working at 350 bar pressure. Built on a Freightliner Cascadia Day Cab chassis, it features a maximum governed speed of 55 mph, extendable to 65 mph upon request. For enhanced safety and monitoring, the HyHD8-200 includes features like backup alarms, collision warning and mitigation systems, blind spot detection, and lane guidance systems. Hyzon’s HyHD8-110 is a hydrogen fuel cell electric powertrain designed for heavy-duty applications. The powertrain delivers a peak power of 450 kW (612 hp) and continuous power of 275 kW (374 hp). Equipped with a 110 kW hydrogen fuel cell and a high voltage battery of 110 kWh, the vehicle boasts impressive torque figures of 1,180 lb-ft continuous and 1,770 lb-ft peak. It supports a driving range of up to 350 miles and can be refueled in about 15 minutes, making it a practical alternative to traditional diesel vehicles. The drive systems are electric, deriving the range from the 50 kg hydrogen onboard. The vehicle features a Freightliner Cascadia chassis with a maximum speed governed at 55 mph, expandable to 65 mph if needed. It includes advanced safety features like electronic stability control, backup alarms, collision avoidance, blind spot detection, and lane guidance systems.
