A vapor combustion unit (VCU), sometimes referred to as an enclosed flare, is an enclosed combustion device (ECD) used for the destruction of vapors from various services including bulk liquid storage tanks, barges, ships, rail cars and trucks. With hundreds of units in operation across Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North Dakota MRW enclosed combustors, often called vapor combustors, are designed to destroy vapors from PRODUCED OIL or WATER TANKS. We have developed systems specifically engineered for the smokeless combustion of heavy (high BTU), low-pressure streams without the use of utility power. These combustors don`t require forced air for smokeless combustion at 100:1 or greater turndown and are built to Quad O standards. Vapors from multiple tanks can be controlled with a single VCU – with or without utility power.

Staged ground flares are utilized for smokeless combustion of large volumes of waste gas flow with high turndown. They are commonly used in LNG and gas processing facilities. Due to the nature of these applications, staged ground flares are designed to handle streams over a wide pressure range and variety of compositions.
