SHARE

The Grabowski geothermal drill by Borobotics is an advanced, automated drilling system designed for shallow geothermal energy applications. Its compact design features a diameter of 135 mm and a length of 2.5 m, making it lightweight at less than 150 kg. This innovation requires only 6-8 m2 to operate, significantly reducing the footprint by 84% compared to conventional systems. Grabowski is equipped with fluid muscles for mobility and borehole stability, automatically detecting earth layers and water tables. Its unique gearbox, paired with dual engines for rotation and hammering, enables it to break through various rock types from sand to granite. Operating at less than 60 dbA, it is 94% quieter than traditional drills. Additionally, its environmental impact is minimized, emitting 288 kg of CO2 per borehole, which is 86% lower than industry standards. The drill is entirely electric, eliminating the need for diesel and making it gentle on the earth. Grabowski's automated operation and precise tracking ensure efficient and accurate borehole placements.

Extruder

In loose grounds, Grabowski automatically extrudes a pipe to support the stability of the borehole.

Fluid muscles

Grabowski's system of fluid muscles allow it to move up and down the borehole as well as seal it in emergencies.

Drill bit & gearbox

A unique gearbox design coupled with two engines for rotation and hammering break down any type of rock.

Compact

With its 135 mm diameter and length of 2.5 m, Grabowski weighs less than 150 kg.  In total, it requires 6-8 m2 to operate - 84% less than the competition.

Silent

At less than 60 dbA, Grabowski drills 94% quieter than the competition. Once in the ground, it is barely audible.

Gentle on the earth

No need for diesel, Grabowski simply plugs into the wall. Its 288 kg of CO2 emissions per borehole are 86% less than the competition.

Smart

On its way down, Grabowski automatically detects different layers of earth including water tables. In case of artesians, it seals the borehole shut.

Automated

Grabowski is the first geothermal drill to be completely automated. It is installed by a single worker and automatically proceeds to make its way down.

Guided

Grabowski drills down straight without any offset. It tracks its every movement allowing for close placements of multiple boreholes.
