Interberg - Model KPX Series - Sintered Plate Ultra High Discharge Rate Batteries
From Nickel-Cadmium (Alkaline) Batteries
The sintered-plate nickel-cadmium battery is a mature development of the nickel-cadmium system, having up to 50% higher energy density than the pocket-type construction. The sintered plate is much thinner than the pocket plate, and the cell has a much lower internal resistance providing superior high-rate and low-temperature performance and its performance is less sensitive than other battery systems to changes in discharge load and temperature.
