ELWA - Model KVE Series -Preheater Systems
The KVE series heaters from ELWA are engineered for optimal heat transfer in processes utilizing water or similar media. Based on the proven 4600 WR series, these units are equipped with interchangeable heating elements and high-quality centrifugal pumps that can be tailored to specific applications. The systems include a mounted control cabinet and integrated pumps, offering flexibility in various settings. Designed for gentle yet effective heating, they ensure precise temperature control through perfect hydraulic flow around the heater elements. This adaptability allows for different surface load requirements, such as 3.5 W/cm² for aggressive media or 6.5 W/cm² for potable and cooling water with additives. Safety features include built-in temperature limiters and optional devices like flow switches and PT-100 sensors. Thermal insulation is achieved using rockwool and galvanized or stainless steel covers, ensuring energy efficiency and safety.
The series KVE heaters offer highly effective heating power for processes with water or similar media. The heating elements and the pumps can be perfectly adapted to the customers application.
Design
The KVE series is based on our approved 4600 WR series flow heater. With the mounted control cabinet and the integrated pumps we offer configurable units which can be used for many applications. We use high-quality centrifugal pumps. The heating elements can be exchanged with standard tools.
Heat transfer
Due to the perfect hydraulic flow around the heating elements, the medium is gently heated to the specified temperature. The surface load (W/cm²) can be precisely adapted to the medium characteristics. Recommended surface loads:
3,5 W/cm²
aggressive media (e.g. chlorinated water, bilge water,…)
6,5 W/cm²
potable water, cooling water with additives
