UTB wet scrubbers are the most suitable option for small and mid-size plants and are designed for removal of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Biogas is washed with a water-NaOH solution in a two-stage process: premixing at the inlet, and extended counterflow contact in a packed bed tower with the scrubbing solution.
