Siemens - Model SGT6-8000H -Gas Turbine
The Siemens SGT6-8000H is absolute world class with a gross power output of 296 MW. The SGT6-8000H achieves efficiencies of more than 60 percent in combined cycle (CC) operation (SCC-8000H series), which makes it the most important component of the most efficient gas-fired power plants in the world. Environmental protection considerations as well as economic factors were taken into account in the development of the SGT6-8000H. The H-class gas turbine combines the best properties of the proven product lines with innovative technologies. The functional and mechanical design of the SGT6-8000H builds on experience with predecessor models and proven technology.
The gas turbine package for the SGT6-8000H consisting of turbine and generator, with the designation SGT6-PAC 8000H, enables economical power generation in a bandwidth up to 296 MW. Siemens gas turbine packages combine standardized basic design with options for location- and customer-specific requirements, in order to provide an ideal solution for successful projects in each case. This approach allows low costs while at the same time providing flexibility for individual requirements.
