Solar Power
H2ecO - Solar Photovoltaic Systems (P.V.)
Solar Photovoltaic systems work by harnessing the sun’s energy through PV panels on your roof and converting it into useable electricity. These systems will produce power all year round whatever the weather. The electricity produced by your system will also earn you an attractive income through the government’s Feed In Tariff scheme. Our systems offer a great way to lower your carbon footprint whilst protecting you from continually rising energy costs.
H2ecO - Solar Thermal Systems
Solar water heating works by harvesting the sun’s energy via ‘collectors’ fitted to your roof. This energy is then transferred from the heated collectors to your hot water tank. These systems are effective all year round in daylight, it doesn’t have to be sunny daylight. Once installed, all of the heat harnessed from your system is free. These systems are low maintenance so you can continue to save on hot water heating for the lifetime of the system. You can also use Solar thermal for assisting central heating systems.
H2ecO - Free Solar PV System for your Home
We are delighted to be able to renew our offer of Free Solar Installations for homes in the Poole and Weymouth area. H2 ecO has been providing free solar systems to partners for 2 years and we have many happy partners.Whilst we believe it is financially better for property owners to invest into solar systems themselves, there may be some who want a green energy system on their property but have financial reasons why they choose not to do so. In those cases, we may be able to provide free systems for suitable properties.
Others
H2ecO - Micro-Hydro & Wind Power
H2ecO`s primary interest in Hydro projects is in projects which we can develop in partnership with a landowner. We are strongly committed to long term partnerships with land-owners who are looking to revenue from renewable sources; we do not, typically, develop micro-hydro generation systems on a one-off turn-key basis.H2 ecO will consider a wide range of project sizes, though our interest is mainly in projects generating between 10 and 20 Kw of power. A surprisingly small stream with a summer flow down to half a meter - (2 feet) wide and down to 30cm - (1 foot) deep with a fall of at least 50 meters (150 feet) will generate a viable project.
H2ecO - Air/Ground Source for Heat Pumps
Heat pumps work a bit like a fridge, but in reverse! Put simply, heat from the air or ground outside is absorbed by the pump, concentrated and then sent inside to heat your home. This free heat is delivered via underfloor heating systems or radiators. The really clever part is that heat pumps can produce 4 units of energy for every unit of energy they consume. This makes them an incredibly efficient way to heat your home.
Energy Conservation
H2ecO - Home Energy Management Systems
Modern `smart switches` and meters will control appliances and heating in your home much more efficiently than our traditional on/off thermostat-based systems. Home energy management systems are designed to enable you to manage your current heating and hot water systems easily and more effectively. This will help you save money and carbon emissions without requiring an expensive new boiler. All of the component parts communicate to each other wirelessly. This enables the system to learn how to manage your property in the most efficient way. These systems are excellent value. A recent 12 month trial showed that on average houses can cut their energy usage by 23% achieving a payback period of about 5 years.
H2ecO - Low Energy Lighting
Replacing your traditional light bulbs with low-energy equivalents can make a dramatic impact on the overall usage of electricity in your home - and save significant sums of money every year. Lighting your house is often overlooked as a significant expense. On average about 8% of your household`s energy bill is from lighting. Traditional tungsten lights are a very inefficient way to light your house as only about 5% of the electricity they use is converted into visible light.
H2ecO - Voltage Regulation
By controlling the voltage in your home`s electrical circuits, you can make the whole system much more efficient and save up to 17% on household energy bills.
