Infinis’ focus is on electricity generation from landfill gas (LFG) and LFG management. LFG is one of the naturally occurring products of decomposing organic matter in landfill sites. LFG comprises approximately 60% methane which is one of a number of gases contributing to global warming. Methane is a highly potent greenhouse gas with a contribution to global warming which is over 20 times greater than that of carbon dioxide.

Wind represents a clean, entirely renewable and unending source of power and is the one of the fastest growing sources of generation in Europe today. Wind farms can be placed both on land and in the sea. The advantages of onshore wind farms are that they tend to be cheaper to install and provide local, distributed generation of power.

Hydro power is a well established renewable energy power source. Hydroelectric generation is based on harnessing the power of flowing water through water turbines. From a climate change perspective, hydroelectricity in Europe is also a very low-impact technology, which produces no greenhouse gas emissions beyond the initial site construction.
