Model SGT-300 - Gas Turbine
The proven, robust SGT-300 gas turbine has performed successfully over many years in power generation and combined heat and power applications. As a single-shaft turbine for power generation, the SGT-300 has an electrical power output of 7.9 MW. The 8.9 MW or the 9.4 MW twin-shaft version is used as a mechanical drive. The SGT-300 is available as a factory-assembled package and is designed to operate with a wide range of gaseous and liquid fuels. Its compact arrangement, on-site maintainability and inherent reliability make it suitable, among other applications, for power generation in the oil and gas industry, including emergency generation.

Features and Fields of Applicationtechnical Data
Industrial power generation
For industrial power generation, a single-shaft version of gas turbine SGT-300 is used. The single-shaft SGT-300 consists of a single twin-bearing rotor with heavy-duty casing. Since the turbine has a compact footprint, is highly reliable and has full site maintainability, it is frequently used for power generation in the oil and gas industry. Quick core engine exchange is possible which significantly cuts maintenance-related downtimes. The gas turbine is equipped with a Dry Low Emissions (DLE) combustion system, providing low NOx emission levels with liquid and gaseous fuels. The SGT-300 also has dual-fuel capability. The following applications are possible:
- Simple cycle applications
- Combined cycle applications
- Combined heat and power (CHP)
- Power generation for the oil and gas industry (onshore for use in oil fields or refinery applications and offshore on platforms and FPSO vessels)
- Emergency generation and standby operation
Mechanical drive
Mechanical drive
For mechanical drive applications, e.g. for compressors and pumps, a twin-shaft version of the SGT-300 is used. Proven materials and technologies are used in the two-stage gas generator turbine and the two-stage power turbine, guaranteeing high reliability with powerful performance and constantly low emissions and fuel consumption. Its modular design approach allows turbine module exchanges to be carried out in-situ as an alternative to a gas generator or power turbine service exchange. The SGT-300 can operate over a wide load and speed range with a wide range of gaseous and liquid fuels, for example as:
- Drive solution for pumping applications, for example transporting of crude oil and refinery products, or as pump drive for water injection in oil production
- Drive solution for compressors in gas injection, for increasing pressure in various pipeline applications or in gas processing and similar applications.
