Effective heat transfer between different medium. Heat exchangers are needed in a plant when heat energy has to be transferred between liquids (gas and liquids). In some processes, heat is generated as a by-product. With the help of the heat exchanger, this “lost” heat energy can be made usable again. In this way, much of this energy can be recovered.
