14th Microgrid Global Innovation Forum – North America to Examine Latest Technology Advances and Business Models
Optimizing microgrids for power resiliency and reliability, renewables integration, and cost efficiencies
December 22, 2021 -- As the U.S. emerges from the pandemic, focus is on decarbonizing the energy mix while improving grid resiliency, reliability and flexibility. Microgrids will play a key role in these efforts. Federal tax credits for solar PV systems (including energy storage) have been reinstated, and FERC Order 2222 is preparing the way for aggregated distributed energy resources to participate in wholesale markets. Third-party ownership of microgrids and a trend toward smaller (less than 5 MW) replicable modular systems are also contributing to the significant growth of microgrids in the U.S.
Organized by SGO, the 14th Microgrid Global Innovation Forum - North America, February 15-16, 2022 in San Diego brings together utilities and industry stakeholders for in-depth information sharing concerning the latest technology developments, implementation and operation of hybrid renewable energy microgrids. This is a great opportunity to make sure your company is positioned for success in this growing market.
“As in previous years, this is a tremendous opportunity to interact directly with companies at the cutting-edge of microgrid deployment,” says Daniel Coran, program manager. “Top industry experts will be speaking who are pushing the envelope in terms of leveraging microgrids for grid resiliency, service flexibility, and DER integration.”
The conference will zero in on refining the value proposition and business case for microgrids in North America, integration with the larger grid, and case studies of grid-tied and off-grid projects and pilots to date.
