EnviTec Biogas Presentation at the EnergyDecentral in Hanover
Biogas trends up close and personal
Lohne, 29 October 2014 – From 11 to 14 November, the Lower Saxon biogas all-rounder EnviTec Biogas will present innovations and information all about the green energy talent biogas at the EnergyDecentral in Hanover. 'With usually over 160,000 visitors from Germany and abroad, the EnergyDecentral has established itself in the scope of the EuroTier as an international meeting place for decentralised energy supply and has a permanent place in our company calendar', explains Roel Slotman, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lohne-based company.
On a total area of 120 square metres of exhibition space in Hall 21, the internationally active company will present its range of products, as well as concepts for biogas generation and upgrading. EnviFarm Compact thus offers ideal options, especially for livestock owners. In addition, the compact container solutions are particularly suited for foreign plant construction. 'The Asian market is currently highly interested in our compact plants. We are now producing the first containers at our Saerbeck site to meet this demand', sales executive Slotman reports.
An additional focus of the trade fair presentation is the Service Division, for which a highly qualified team of employees stands available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year – a worthwhile personnel investment: Thanks to the technical and biological services that are also offered to external plant operators, the average efficiency of EnviTec-supported plants is over 90%. 'Exclusively during the trade fair, we are offering our customers in this segment materials for 2,000 operating hour service for the 312 motor from GE Jenbacher at an attractive annual package price', says Martin Brinkmann, Managing Director of EnviTec Service. Moreover, the close partnership shared with GE Jenbacher for the servicing of co-generation plants is also impressive, as all maintenance and services come from one source.
Additional revenues from electricity
In addition to plant technology and service, the biogas plant manufacturer will also be presenting its EnviTec HeatBox. Power-to-heat (P2H) gives HeatBox operators full access to the benefits of the balancing energy market. P2H and the resulting heat allows the power generated by a co-generation to be used profitably in available district heat grids. This was tested during the four-month development period of the application in the EnviTec-owned plant in Anklam, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The company has now started to offer the HeatBox on the market since April.
'The simultaneous utilisation of negative and positive balancing energy is the alpha and omega for a stable power grid in Germany', explains Alfred Gayer, Managing Director of EnviTec Energy. The balancing energy, or reserve power, guarantees that power customers receive a secure supply of exactly the energy they need despite unpredicted occurrences in the power grid. Primary and secondary control is applied to compensate imbalances between the physical power supply and the demand for it. A total of 100% of the power generated can be placed in the secondary balancing market, with the operator profiting from the additional revenues. However, the HeatBox doesn't merely offer monetary, but also ecological advantages, as the heat produced is simultaneously used in an existing district heat grid or by internal heat consumers.
