Grate fired boilers
BWE grate fired boilers are available in the range of 50 to 132 MW heat input. The boiler is a bottom supported, natural circulated drum type boiler, with membrane walls and hanging super-heaters. The combustion takes place on a water-cooled vibrating grate, controlled by a 3-zone combustion air system. A special designed heat displacement system eliminates corrosion in the boiler cold end.

- Wet bottom ash conveyor system
- Integrated SNCR system for NOx reduction (optional)
- Stoker feeding for straw (up to 40% supplementary firing of e.g. wood chips)
- Spreader feeding for chips
Pulverized fired boilers
BWE PF fired boilers are available in the range of 50 to 800 MW heat input. The boiler design ranges from bottom supported natural circulated drum type boilers in the lower capacity range, up to hanging once-through boilers (tower type) with ultra super critical steam parameters in the high capacity range. The pulverized biomass are burned in suspension by multifuel Low NOx burners in a front, boxer or tangential arrangement. The combustion is controlled by an advanced 4 zone combustion air system.
