The CEP Clean Energy & Passive House Expo, international trade fair and conferences for energy efficiency and intelligent buildings, will take place on October 17 - 18, 2012 at the Lurdy Conference and Event Center in Budapest. The 4th edition of the event will introduce and display energy efficient solutions of the future. With a wide spectrum of innovative products and services, CEP EXPO has become the leading trade fair in Hungary in the sector of energy-efficient buildings and renovating.
Last years the role of building energetics - which has been given high priority within the confines of Hungarian energy policy - has become more and more enhanced. Due to the recession in the building sector, the Hungarian government has met the decision to fulfill the highest requirements in energetics. Considering the fact that our buildings are using a remarkable proportion (more than 40%) of the total energy consumption, at the beginning of a renovation we will have to consider the requirements of sustainability becoming due in 20-30 years as well.
The renovation of the building stock is inevitable in order to reduce the CO2 emission, to enhance the energy independence and to meet the strict requirements of the EU. The ministry is hoping that in the next few days it will be given a permission to have funds rearranged from the transportation foundations of the EU to energy efficiency purposes. If the decision will be favourable, approximately a sum of 120 billion HUF can become available for energy-efficiency tenders.
CEP Clean Energy & Passive House Expo, the leading event of the year in building energetics, will muster up a wide variety of products and services which are essential to achieve energy efficiency. The event will take place on the first floor of Lurdy Conference and Event Center, on October 17 - 18, 2012.
The focus themes of the fair this year will be the energy-efficient and intelligent buildings, especially the energy-efficient renovation of public- and office buildings. The sustainable renovation of national monuments, building automation, low-energy and zero-energy-houses will be highlighted as well. Parallel to the trade fair, five professional conferences will take place on the following topics: sustainable and energy-efficient building, national monument protection and sustainability, ventilation and heat recovery, shading technology.
Similar to the previous events, this year's CEP Expo is supported by a great number of professional and media partners.
